IceWEB With Iplicity Transaction Processing Solution
Enhancements to its patented Cloud Storage Appliance
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 5, 2010 at 3:21 pmIceWEB, Inc., provider of building blocks for cloud storage networks and purpose built appliances, has introduced a new data storage solution called the Iplicity-TP platform, specifically aimed at providing high performance data storage for transaction processing intensive environments.
“IceWEB today is introducing enhancements to its patent pending Locally Connected Cloud Storage Device, the IceWEB Cloud Storage Appliance,” stated Gary Dunham, SVP of Product Development for IceWEB. “The Cloud Storage Appliance (CSA) now supports multiple paths to allow interconnection of public, private or hybrid cloud storage networks to internet connections and/or corporate back haul IP networks. This new feature ensures that clients will have maximum flexibility, redundancy, and performance for deploying these valuable building blocks within their infrastructure.”
Dunham also detailed the Transaction Processing product stating: “Iplicity-TP is a scalable, high performance solution for end users who are tasked with supporting very high transaction load processing. Demanding financial applications often are limited in their real-time performance because of budgetary constraints. The Iplicity-TP platform, for the first time in the storage industry delivers high performance, scalability, and reliability at a price that won’t break the IT budget. Configured with a broad range of connectivity options, and high performance 15.5KRPM SAS drives, the Iplicity-TP units will set the performance/value standard in this area for some time to come,” Dunham continued. “IceWEB will also offer the Iplicity-TP units configured with solid state drives (SSD) to give even greater read/write and cache performance. We expect to announce general availability for the SSD version of the Iplicity-TP within the next 90 days.”
