BlueArc Selects MCA Solutions

For service parts planning and optimization

BlueArc Corporation has selected MCA Solutions‘ OnDemand product for service parts planning and optimization. The software-as-a-service solution will enable BlueArc to deliver improved capabilities as early as March of this year.

BlueArc’s high-performance network storage systems store and deliver mission-critical data for its clients. MCA’s solution will enable BlueArc to increase availability of its network storage equipment across its global network as well as offer a differentiated aftermarket service offering.

The combination of complex product configurations, a rapidly growing installed base, and increasing customer support requirements made BlueArc’s service supply chain complex and dispersed. "With MCA’s OnDemand technology, we can quickly and easily automate and improve our service parts planning and forecasting processes to meet our existing 4-hour service level agreements," said Chris McBride, senior vice president of global customer operations at BlueArc.

MCA’s OnDemand will use existing customer data to improve forecasting capability, support new product introductions, reduce support response time and improve service decision making by quantifying trade-offs between service, inventory, and cost.
