Compellent Technologies, Inc. is adding Brocade 300 and 5100 SAN switches to its virtualized storage product family, enabling customers to future-proof the data center and prepare for emerging technologies, such as 8 Gbps Fibre Channel. The SAN switches allow enterprises to maintain a fluid data center by maximizing server and storage performance in virtualized environments.

Compellent tests and qualifies its Storage Center storage array with Brocade’s Fibre Channel switches to ensure interoperability, which are fully forward and backward compatible across the entire SAN switch portfolio. The Brocade 300 and 5100 SAN Switches are now offered through Compellent’s international network of business partners, with switch bundles starting at $6,300 for Brocade 300 Switches and $14,400 for Brocade 5100 SAN Switches.
