Edge Tech Guardian Flash Drive Safe

From security defects found on other secure flash drives

EDGE Tech Corp. says that its line of GUARDIAN encrypted Flash Drives is not vulnerable to the security breaches recently announced by other manufacturers, including Kingston, SanDisk, and Verbatim, after a serious design flaw was exposed.

When recent reports started circulating about its competitors admitting to major design defects with their encrypted flash drives, which pose serious security threats to users, Jeff Thompson, EDGE Tech’s president and CEO, was confident that GUARDIAN customers were safe.

"We spent a great deal of time developing the GUARDIAN, and carefully considered important product attributes not limited only to encryption, but overall architecture, which certainly includes password authentication. The GUARDIAN does not use a host computer for password authentication, which is where our competitors’ products are vulnerable. Instead, the GUARDIAN uses device-level password authentication, totally avoiding this vulnerability", stated Thompson.

When EDGE first released the GUARDIAN, Thompson had said: "This is our most powerful and secure product to date." Today, he commented: "I’m happy to be reiterating that statement now. Our quality and product development teams created one of our best products ever with the GUARDIAN, and we’re very pleased that we can offer that assurance to our customers today."
