Xcerion AB provides icloud.com service, a 'Cloud OS' technology with 22
pending patents. It consists of a desktop with applications and
files that runs through a web browser. Because it's running on
Internet, it can offer sharing and collaboration. The core technology
is a new AJAX XML OS that enables Visual Orchestration – visual
creation of software without programming. Developers have API and tools
to build their own cloud applications.
Based in Linköping, Sweden with offices in Stockholm, Sweden and
Seattle, WA, the privately-held company of 15 employees is funded by
Scandinavia's VC Northzone Ventures. Investors
also include Lou Perazzoli, architect of Windows NT and former Microsoft
manager of Core OS and John Connors former CFO of Microsoft.
Xcerion was founded in November 2001 by its CEO Daniel Arthursson.
Previously he founded and was CEO of Mediate AB, which was a pioneer in
XML server and parser technology. Other key executives are Marcus
Bristav CTO and Jonas Thornholm CFO.
