IceWEB is now manufacturing ESRI’s latest version of the ArcGIS Data Appliance. To date, IceWEB has built over 1 Petabyte of ArcGIS Data Appliances for the ESRI community. IceWEB has an agreement to produce purpose built data appliances pre-loaded with imagery, which ESRI delivers to clients worldwide.

"IceWEB’s partnership with ESRI continues to grow, resulting in many innovative products and offerings utilizing many different hardware platforms. Not only have we enhanced our hardware platform for the ArcGIS Data Appliance, we have also added bare-metal restore capabilities to the whole product line. This gives ESRI’s customers the ability to quickly and safely migrate and restore their OS, application and security settings from one version to the next," said IceWEB VP of Sales, Stephen A. Gill. "The ArcGIS Data Appliance has really taken off as ESRI customers embrace the value proposition and overall savings this solution can bring to their organization. The new enhancements to the ArcGIS Data Appliance ensure users have access to the most efficient and consistent data they need for their critical projects with reliable access to high-performance data and tasks behind their firewall. IceWEB has an agreement to produce purpose built data appliances preloaded with imagery."

Dean Garner, ESRI’s Solution Sales Manager, said: "ESRI’s clients have high expectations from us. We have to partner with organizations that understand and know our user community. The IceWEB and ESRI relationship has matured into one that has proven quite valuable for both our company and our clients and the ArcGIS Data Appliance is a great example. The new enhancements to the ArcGIS Data Appliance are exciting, and new features such as migrating to a new Web Mercator Projection tiling scheme; which is the same tiling scheme used by Bing Maps and Google Maps, allows users to more easily create mashups with other popular web maps. Such new features, along with Geocoding and Routing options, continue to enhance the value of the ArcGIS Data Appliance for our users. The ArcGIS Data Appliance provides great value to our clients in terms of greatly shortening the time to deploy critical GIS services within their networks."
