Chi Networks Inked Partnership With Compellent
To provide storage solutions
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 10, 2009 at 3:07 pmChi Networks, provider of managed hosting solutions, inked a partnership with Compellent Technologies, Inc. to provide scalable storage based solutions.
“The Compellent Storage Center will allow our customers to deploy fiber channel based scalable and reliable storage on all our hosted platforms,” said Sanjiv Bawa, founder and chief executive officer of Chi Networks. “Our customers know they can trust us to protect their data, and our partnership with Compellent enables us to maintain that reliability.”
Compellent provides an enterprise-class Storage Area Network (SAN) designed to lower costs, reduce administration, provide high availability and enable virtualization. “Working with Compellent, Chi Networks can offer solutions that can allow our Enterprise Cloud Computing customers to use scalable redundant tiered storage that is simple to manage and can be moved around as requirements change,” said Bawa.
Partnering with Compellent, Chi Networks can provide an enhanced suite of business continuity services to its customers. “We are now bringing these unique technologies to our customers with the ability to improve Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), and reduce their operating costs,” Bawa stated. “This deployment allows our customers to deploy continuity without any capital costs whatsoever. Our customers are tickled pink by our ability to simply ‘rewind’ to a point of time prior to a system crash or corruption. Data Instant Replay allows us take an unlimited number of snapshots without degrading performance. We can recover the entire system instantly if there is a major crash.”
This kind of dependability helps ensure the continuity of business operations and assists with regulatory compliance, improved systems availability, protection of data, and the integration of IT operational risk management strategies. Chi Networks can now offer its clients services that are initiated at planning and design through implementation and management, with a strong commitment to understanding the customers ever-changing business requirements.
“Chi Networks provides a wide range of proactive and event-driven managed services,” Bawa concluded. “Our clients can select capabilities based on the criticality of their data and processes, including lower-cost options. By managing and operating these services – either fully or partially – we enable our customers to balance workloads, lower application and system downtime, and reduce data loss, all while we simultaneously help companies avoid capital expense, monitor and manage their operational expenses and service levels, and reduce the burden on their IT staff.”
