Up to 24 SSDs or HDDs Can Be Installed Into SC216 Server
From Thomas-Krenn
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 20, 2009 at 3:35 pmThe quick and reliable SSDs media are much more robust than conventional hard disks and, furthermore, they are insensitive to high temperature fluctuations, said Thomas-Krenn AG. Their secret is behind the mechanics which has in comparison to conventional disks no longer movable parts.
A Solid State Drive, installed in a TK server, sticks out through its low power consumption (for example 128 GB SATA II ATP SSD SLC 2,5“: 0,38W) as well as the low heat development. The disks produces no noticeable sounds and with a size of 2,5″ the disk is very compactly integrated in the system.
SSD is the intelligent way of system expansion, with which the performance plays a larger role than the capacity (for example for databaseserver). We offer SSDs for mainstream (MLC SSD) and for the enterprise are (SLC SSD). Furthermore, Intel SSD (SLC) are also certified for Intel modular server.
Up to 24 SSD – disk and hard drive media can be installed in the SC216 server of the Thomas-Krenn. The server is excellently qualified for database applications.
