RAID will be unveiling the Xanadu 230 system, the world’s largest monolithic storage system which can support over 2,700 hard drives in SSD, FC, and SATA.

In addition, RAID will be showcasing the Xanadu 220 system, which supports 1,000 hard drives, utilizing a 120Gb/s QDR InfiniBand connection, and demonstrating performance results with Lustre at the conference.

"With included features such as parity check on read, native data encryption, dynamic capacity expansion, and MAID functionality, the Xanadu 200 series is RAID’s most advanced storage solution to date," stated Marc DiZoglio, Executive Vice President of HPC Technologies at RAID. "With the ability to aggregate up to 128 8Gb Fibre-Channel host ports, controllers designed around Intel’s latest Nehalem architecture, and compatibility with all major parallel file systems, Xanadu 200 series systems are the ideal solutions for the most demanding of HPC applications."

Other Products Being Announced at SC09:

  • Cost-effective InfiniBand storage solution that scales to 720TB of capacity with 1TB of cache in a 42U rack starting at $0.50 per GB.
  • High-density self-contained compute cluster with 128 Nehalem CPUs in a 42U rack that eliminates hot spots in the data center.
  • Parallel file system demonstrations utilizing Gluster and StorNext with RAID’s Xanadu 110 storage solution.
