New industry leading customers as well as existing customers purchasing additional BalancePoint licenses drove this quarter’s growth. Enterprises continue to buy Akorri’s award-winning BalancePoint software to optimize their virtual and physical server and storage environments.
Also within the third quarter, Akorri launched and announced its new PartnerPoint Channel Program, featuring new marketing and sales support, better online education and certification, deal registration and margin protection features, enabling the company to secure more than 15 new channel partners. One of the new partners was Rutter Networking Technologies, a leading end-to-end technology solutions provider in the Northeast.
"We have been very pleased with our new relationship with Akorri. Adding BalancePoint to our portfolio has enabled us to continue providing our customers the solutions needed to manage virtualized data center environments. Akorri’s channel support program has been extremely helpful in getting us up to speed and assisting our customers with deployment," said Drew Koellmer, Director of Sales and Marketing from Rutter.
In the third quarter Akorri also:
- Introduced BalancePoint 3.0, the latest version of the company’s award-winning virtual infrastructure management software, with richer virtual machine and storage analysis, broader interoperability, and user interface improvements.
- Announced a cooperative marketing and sales support agreement with 3PAR, Inc., provider of utility storage. BalancePoint 3.0 offers interoperability and support for 3PAR’s InServ Storage Server series storage arrays.
- Expanded into European, Asia Pacific, and Latin American markets, as the company added new partner Syrix in Latin America and opened regional sales offices.
"We have experienced remarkable growth in our first three quarters this year despite economic conditions, and as the economy starts to improve we are well positioned with our new channel program and growing list of partners to help companies take that next step in optimizing performance while they virtualize their IT environments," said John Gavin, CEO and COO for Akorri. "We believe the market will continue to choose BalancePoint for an infrastructure-wide view and analysis of a combined virtual and physical environment that traditional systems management tools can’t offer."
