Chuck McMakin VP of Business Development and Sales for JMR

Formerly VP of sales and marketing at CommandSoft

JMR Electronics, Inc. has appointed Chuck McMakin Vice President of Business Development and Sales.

Mr. McMakin, formerly the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CommandSoft Inc., adds to the company’s executive team as it continues its growth and expansion in the US and abroad.

Mr. McMakin’s responsibilities will include overall sales management, developing strategic relationships with technology partners, client needs assessment, and solution set definition and development. "Chuck’s vast expertise and understanding of storage and software technology coupled with his comprehension of the digital post production market dynamics and extensive experience in developing successful organizations further strengthens our commitment in establishing our worldwide presence as a global leader of innovative storage solutions."

To this end, my initial focus is to support JMR in the development and cultivation of market and channel opportunities that will maximize revenue growth and margin expansion for JMR’s storage solutions."

At CommandSoft, Mr. McMakin oversaw all sales efforts and successfully built and nurtured a strong reseller channel while simultaneously growing their direct business volumes in the storage area network (SAN) markets. As Vice President of Product Operations at Tsunami Visual Technologies, a manufacturer of high-end amusement attractions, he consistently exceeded revenue and budget expectations. During his tenure as Product Marketing Manager at Global VR, Mr. McMakin managed marketing and strategic planning efforts for all products, including the launch of Electronic Art’s Sports PGA Tour Golf game and the related tournament network. His efforts resulted in unit volumes reaching annual forecasts in just three months. As Co-Founder and Director of Sales and Customer Support for silicon valley based HyperWare, Mr. McMakin helped to secure venture funding and successfully negotiated exclusive licenses to produce and market out-of-home entertainment products. While there, he developed and instituted a channel program involving over 100 domestic and international distribution partners.
