At the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009, a division of BBS Technologies, Inc., Idera, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft SharePoint Server, announced Idera SharePoint backup 2.5.

Idera SharePoint backup ensures the safety and integrity of vital SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 content by automating the backup and recovery process and enabling granular recovery from site collections down to sites, list items and documents.

Key features in version 2.5 include:

• Automated alerting on backup and restore success or failure, fault tolerant failover, low disk space conditions and more
• Manage multiple SharePoint farm backup from a single console
• Backup server load balancing

• Automatic grooming of expired backup files to optimize storage utilization
