IceWEB Chosen for GCS Research Adelos Program
For a mission critical storage infrastructure
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 22, 2009 at 3:05 pmIceWEB, Inc. announced that they have completed the first delivery of systems to the GCS Research Adelos Program from GCS Research LLC.
The Adelos sensor system is an advanced covert intelligence and surveillance sensor system protecting high value critical infrastructure, monitoring sensitive perimeters, and securing vulnerable borders.
Stephen A. Gill, VP of Sales for IceWEB said of the milestone delivery: "IceWEB is pleased to announce that their line of INLINE Storage products have been chosen as the hardware of choice for the recent sizeable government award to GCS Research for the ‘Adelos’ program. The program’s mission requires hardware to be fully mobile and self sustained. The field deployable solution consisted of multiple high performance servers, high density database appliances, network switches and accessories bundled in rugged-hardened transport cases. The solution is optimized for very large data ingest, processing of that data and ultimately giving the results to field personnel to act upon it in a timely manner."
"We are extremely excited to have taken delivery of the IceWEB hardware configuration. This new capability will allow GCS to perform more effectively in the challenging data and field requirements associated with the Adelos Program," states Mr. Mike Beltz, Adelos Program Manager for GCS Research.
"IceWEB and GCS Research have been collaborating on the hardware requirements for over 12 months. The research performed on this project positions both companies to deliver field proven replications of this innovative configuration more quickly and affordably than any other solution available. We’re honored to be a partner with GCS Research and to help in the hardware design and implementation of the Adelos project. We look forward to many more implementations in the next 12-18 months," Mr. Gill added.
