Digi-Data Partners With HDS

To create cloud storage portfolio

Digi-Data Corporation announced a partnership with Hitachi Data Systems Corporation to offer a comprehensive, secure cloud-storage portfolio. Through its integrated suite of industry-leading software applications, Digi-Data’s Internet storage solutions are ideal for data protection, media-content management and remote access to data.

Digi-Data offers a platform that uniquely addresses online-storage demands, rapidly meets changes in business requirements and drastically reduces cost,” said Dennis Cindrich, CEO of Digi-Data. “Leveraging the new Hitachi cloud infrastructure, this solution delivers seamless file sharing, backups and multimedia streaming to desktop and mobile devices while mitigating potential privacy and reliability concerns.”

Digi-Data enables partners to expand their service offerings, create new revenue streams and increase customer loyalty as they strive to meet the digital demands of customers. Digi-Data’s application software and Web Services API complement Hitachi’s cloud-storage portfolio, resulting in a secure, reliable and intuitive offering. Telecommunication companies and other service providers are logical partners because of the exponential growth of digital content and the desire to protect and share that content online.

Our unique approach delivers a dynamic cloud environment that virtualizes all existing storage resources into a single, agile, service-oriented infrastructure that reduces storage cost, mitigates risk and is easily managed in the face of changing demands,” said Scanlon Putegnat, vice president, Worldwide Telecom, Hitachi Data Systems. “Further, as Hitachi Data Systems continues to expand our focus into vertical markets, we see telecommunication companies and service providers as strategic partners to our overall success.”
