Brian Gladstein VP of Marketing at AutoVirt
After having founded Ticklr
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 12, 2009 at 3:19 pmAutoVirt, Inc., provider of storage management automation software for Windows, has appointed Brian Gladstein to the position of Vice President of Marketing.
Gladstein, an avid technologist with over 12 years of experience building visionary new products and companies, will be responsible for all aspects of product marketing, product management and corporate communications. In this newly created position, he will report directly to Josh Klein, President and CEO of AutoVirt.
Gladstein joins AutoVirt after having founded Ticklr, Inc., an online professional networking site marrying CRM, email and news alerts into one easy to use web-based application. As the company’s President and CEO, Gladstein led the development and marketing launch of the company’s beta service to small and mid-sized businesses, successfully raised the company’s initial funding, and hired core management and engineering teams that built the product and conducted the launch. Prior to Ticklr, Gladstein served as Director of Product Marketing for Bit9, the pioneer and leader in application whitelisting (desktop security), where he was responsible for product marketing, demand generation and sales support. In this position, he was instrumental in putting application whitelisting on the map as a submarket of desktop security, establishing Bit9 as a leader in that category, and driving demand generation programs that led to a tenfold increase in sales leads and virtually all of the company’s first 75 customers. Gladstein has also held senior marketing and engineering positions with CA, RSA Security, Relicore, and WebLine Communications (acquired by Cisco).
“This is a very exciting time to join AutoVirt,” said Gladstein. “The fact that the market for storage management automation is growing exponentially coupled with AutoVirt’s incredible lineup of innovative product enhancements coming in the next couple of months, provide a tremendous opportunity for AutoVirt. I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued success.”
“Brian brings broad industry experience and deep insight into driving product management and marketing excellence to the AutoVirt team,” said Klein. “His knowledge and skill communicating the value of technology solutions to customers, as well as his ability to take leading-edge technologies and mold them to fit the needs of the customer, will be invaluable to AutoVirt during this critical stage of the company’s growth and development.”
Gladstein received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Computer Science from MIT, and holds several patents for voice navigation and collaboration inventions.
