Russ Holt VP Business Development at Unitrend

Holt joins the growing data protection leader with more than two decades of computing industry expertise, including positions with NCR Corporation and Dell Inc.

Holt joins Unitrends with more than 23 years of computing industry experience, including management and executive experience in the areas of product engineering, program management, product marketing/management, business and operational management. Holt spent more than eight years with Dell in a number of leadership roles, most notably as the general manager of the Enterprise Product Group growing servers to the No. 2 position worldwide and reaching over $1B in revenue for storage systems. Prior to his departure, Holt was vice president of Dell’s software development and tools organization where he had worldwide responsibility for the development of embedded platform software and systems management and services tools.
Prior to Dell, Holt spent more than 14 years with NCR Corp. where he held a variety of positions in product management and engineering. Prior to leaving NCR, he was vice president and general manager of its server systems division. Most recently, Holt worked in the non-profit sector providing executive and leadership counsel in the areas of strategic planning, business management and business development. Holt holds a bachelor’s degree in information and computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and he currently serves as vice-chairman of the university’s College of Computing Advisory Board.
