Revenues of Unitrends Up 32% Quarterly

Success in K-12 education, healthcare and state and local government markets

Unitrends has posted record third-quarter results. The Company’s Q3 sales were up 32%, quarter over quarter, as customers actively embrace Unitrends’ suite of data backup, recovery and archiving appliances. Designed to affordably protect and restore critical data and systems running on over 40 versions of operating systems and applications, Unitrends’ solutions eliminate the need for multi-vendor software and hardware while removing the constraints of traditional licensing policies.

Key to the quarter’s growth was significant new customer success in a range of vertical industries including K-12 education, healthcare and state and local government. This strong customer adoption also underscores the value of Unitrends’ new Recovery-7 series with a radically new licensing approach which offers freedom from not only traditional client-based licensing but removes storage-based licensing so that customers can store as much on the device as they wish until the physical capacity is full.

Unitrends is committed to delivering data protection solutions with the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry,” said Mark Campbell, chief operating officer, Unitrends. “We have paired our high performance disk-based data protection technology with revolutionary product licensing which together results in a suite of products that set new benchmarks for freedom and flexibility. Our strong results, which made for our best Q3 in the history of the company, are validation that customers are favorably responding to our approach.”

Unitrends achievements during Q3 include the release of:
