Avere Joins SNIA
And the SSD working group

SNIA is a global organization with more than 400 member companies that share the common goal of advancing the adoption of storage networks as complete and trusted solutions.
Tom Hicks, Principal Engineer at Avere Systems, will serve as the Avere SNIA representative to the Solid State Storage Technical Working Group (SSS TWG), a consortium of members responsible for creating a reference SNIA architecture and to facilitate industry-wide adoption of common requirements, methods and specifications in related standards organizations. Hicks has extensive architectural and engineering experience for multiple storage and networking systems having served as Technical Director at NetApp, Lead Engineer and System Software Team Manager at Spinnaker Networks; and Lead Engineer at FORE Systems.
