Spectra Logic Delivers De-Dupe for European Market

Spectra Logic Corp. announced an expansion to its deduplication solutions at a variety of new capacity points.

Spectra Logic’s nTier Deduplication solutions allow customers to achieve data deduplication with industry-leading backup and recovery performance, efficiently replicate data from remote locations and reduce total data protection costs through seamless integration with tape archiving.
 
Spectra Logic’s product family provides efficient data protection across a range of capacity points.

Its disk-based deduplication solutions include:

• the Spectra nTier vX – protecting from 3 to 20 terabytes (TBs) of data,
• the nTier v80 – protecting up to 2.5 TBs of data, and two new additional capacity options,
• the nTier v160 – protecting up to 5 TBs and the nTier v320, which protects up to 12 TBs of data.

The nTier Deduplication appliances have a 12-week retention period and are affordably priced with industry-leading speeds of up to 900 megabytes per second.

The nTier vX and nTier v80 Deduplication solutions are available today worldwide. The new nTier v160 and nTier v320 deduplication disk appliances are available to order immediately and will begin shipping in October 2009.
