2TB 5,400rpm HDD for IBM DCS9900
The expansion unit can accommodate up to 60 disk drives.

A 2000 GB (2 TB), 5400 rpm SATA disk drive option is now available for the DCS9900 Model 3S1 SAS/SATA Storage Expansion Unit. The Model 3S1 Expansion Unit can accommodate up to 60 disk drives.
The new 2 TB SATA disk drive is designed to enable DCS9900 Storage System configurations using the Model 3S1 Storage Expansion Units to scale up to 1200 disks, with physical storage capacities that range up to 2400 TB.

Recently Big Blue announced that the System Storage DCS9900 can mix SAS and SATA HDDs in the same enclosure and supports three-enclosure configuration. Furthermore, now reads and writes are at up to 5.9GB/s with no RAID-6 write penalty.
