Completion of Overseas Antitrust Review for Toshiba

To finally acquire Fujitsu HDD Business

Fujitsu Limited and Toshiba Corporation have completed all necessary procedures required by overseas antitrust authorities regarding Fujitsu’s planned transfer of shares of Toshiba Storage Device Corporation to Toshiba.

As previously announced, both companies are currently proceeding with the arrangements necessary for Fujitsu to transfer 80.1 percent of the shares of TSDC to Toshiba, with the scheduled completion on October 1, 2009.

The time for the acquisition of Fujitsu HDD business by Toshiba was much longer than expected.

Remember that the memorandum of understanding by the two companies for this operation was signed on February 17, 2009 with now scheduled completion on October 1, 2009.
