Online Backup for Dummies

SOS Online Backup has partnered with Wiley Publishing and 4D Global Partners, LLC (4DGP) to introduce Online Backup for Dummies, a new SaaS backup solution and book designed to make online backup easy and comprehensible for everyone.

Findings show that less than 10% of consumers backup their data daily.

SOS Online Backup is offering this simple all-in-one solution that combines local storage (with USB flash drive), along with the security and safety of backup in the familiar and user friendly tradition of the Dummies brand. Online Backup for Dummies is now available.

As a service, Online Backup for Dummies uses a small desktop application that works behind the scenes on users’ computers. This new service is powered by the SOS engine with features such as unlimited versioning & archiving, continuous data protection, flexible scheduling, a three-tier encryption system, as well as local backup and a restore option. SOS is PC Magazine Editors’ Choice and described as Both simple to use and powerful.

The Backup for Dummies book is written for a wide range of readers, from the beginner who has never used an online backup and storage solution to the seasoned professional who is looking for the latest in online storage strategies and backup solutions.

The book covers a wide range of valuable topics including:

• Concepts of data management and backing up files and data
• Different types of backup media and its appropriate uses
• Merits of different backup software systems
