Improving hardware independent NAS/SAN solution for virtual environments

NexentaStor virtualizes underlying storage in order to provide high performance, low cost, vendor independent enterprise storage to virtualized environments, including Citrix / Xen, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware. With NexentaStor almost any underlying storage can be managed and presented to virtual servers via NFS or iSCSI or Fiber Channel. The management of the storage for these environments is improved through the use of the VM Data Center optional module from Nexenta that allows for one click storage provisioning and virtual machine cloning.

NexentaStor 2.1 adds a number of capabilities to NexentaStor 2.0, including StorageLink integration for the management of storage for Citrix / Xen and Microsoft Hyper-V environments. Other additional capabilities include the addition of Fiber Channel support to the Target block level management target as well as additional improvements to both block level and file level replication NexentaStor features.
