Pivot3 Storage Server for Distributed Surveillance Environments

Pivot3, Inc. announced the Pivot3 Serverless Computing VideoBank, a storage server appliance for distributed surveillance environments with usable capacity from 4 to 10 TB and an integrated virtual server.

While competitive storage products require a separate physical server to run video management software, the Pivot3 VideoBank combines server and storage functionality in a single appliance to eliminate the power, cost and rackspace of the external server. The new appliance is targeted at retail, financial, education, and corporate environments where cameras are frequently distributed across a campus-type environment.

The VideoBank appliance is available immediately through approved Pivot3 channel partners. The 4 TB VideoBank carries an MSRP of €6,100/£5,200/US$8,800, which includes a free virtual server.
