Partnership Between Corus360 and CAPS in Atlanta

Two participants in Georgia’s escalating IT services sector announce a sales, marketing and operations partnership.

Corus360 and Computer Alternative Processing Sites (CAPS), Inc.‘ joint efforts will enhance ability to meet clients DR/BC and co-location needs. The partnership’s collective roster of products, services and deep professional experience will be available in the northeast and southeast regions.

CAPS’ fifty-six thousand square foot Duluth, Georgia data center will be the main base of operations.

As a result of the partnership, with a single call, clients will be able to create customized modular solutions to achieve maximum results. IT infrastructure, data center technologies and management, co-location for real time operations, workstation facilities and managed services are among the list of solutions available under a single umbrella.

Additionally, the partnership will provide disk-to-disk data management and security for all levels, including mid range and mainframe operations, enterprise software applications and DR/BC planning, implementation and support. All products, services and facilities will be regulatory compliant.

CAPS will expand its sales force and its ability to reach clients in the metro Atlanta area and the surrounding states who are in need of co-location and support services. Its relationship with Corus360 will also improve its growth potential in the southeast, and add another key component to its channel structure.

Corus360 will augment its existing IT services by gaining access to CAPS best of breed infrastructure environment and facilities, in addition to a strategic data center-based capability for its RES-Q program. The RES-Q Disaster Recovery services complement CAPS well respected abilities in the recovery and business continuity space. In its Q1 2008 Wave Report Forrester Research named CAPS a ‘strong performer’ in the Fixed-Site Disaster Recovery Service Providers category. According to the report, “CAPS can offer high-performance solutions in its region and boasts very high customer satisfaction levels.”

The RES-Q Center-based Services program provides clients with a hot-site/cold-site location to test or restore critical systems and applications. In addition, RES-Q Managed Recovery addresses critical hardware and application recovery with three separate solutions backed by IT consulting capabilities offered by both partners.

CAPS has secure facilities in Shelton, Connecticut, which serve the northeast’s Boston-New York business corridor; and its 56,000 square-foot facility in Duluth, Georgia serves the southeast region.

In early July, the companies collaborated with the AFCOM Atlanta Chapter on an event detailing the reasons why the time is right to consider a strategic green approach to extend aging data centers’ lifecycle for organizations facing difficulties surviving this tough economy.
