Australia’s gizmo Partners With Datacastle

Datacastle Corporation, a PC backup and data protection company, announced that gizmo, Australia’s in-home tech support company, has partnered with Datacastle to launch an online backup service to meet growing demand for a secure, online PC backup solution.

A study commissioned by gizmo in 2008 with Australia’s Galaxy Research revealed that 85% of respondents had critical files on their home PC but only 15% were backing up on a regular basis. It was clear from the study that consumers in Australia were looking for a greater level of security and data protection than external storage devices, even with automatic backup, could provide. gizmo evaluated several products available in the market and concluded that Datacastle was the right fit because of its security, co-branding and cloud computing features.
