Hitachi: Fiscal 1Q09 Financial Results
Storage systems revenues decreasing yearly by 19% and HDDs by 29% (in ¥)

From 1Q98 to 1Q09, sales of storage subsystems decreased 19%. The HDD business was down 29% and is no more profitable.
HGST shipped about the same number of hard disk drives during the two periods but at lower prices.
