GuardianEdge, in endpoint data protection, announced an update to the GuardianEdge Data Protection Platform with new versions of GuardianEdge Hard Disk Encryption, GuardianEdge Removable Storage Encryption and GuardianEdge Advanced Authentication.

Unprecedented Deployment Scale and Availability
New functionality broadens support for virtually any type of enterprise deployment architecture, including multiple deployments within a single Active Directory forest or single, global deployment managing endpoints across multiple Active Directory forests. Unprecedented levels of scale, availability and redundancy are supported through Microsoft Windows Server Network Load Balancing and the backup, restore, replication and failover services of Microsoft SQL Server. Two-Factor Authentication for Federal Government Organizations and Their Suppliers
GuardianEdge Advanced Authentication continues to offer industry-leading support for two-factor authentication with the development of solutions based on accepted standards. In addition to current support for Common Access Cards (CAC), GuardianEdge Advanced Authentication now also provides support for Personal Identity Verification I (PIV 1) and Personal Identity Verification II (PIV II) tokens. PIV I and PIV II tokens, actively being adopted in federal agencies and enterprise organizations who work directly with the government, provide robust secure, two-factor authentication, and are now supported in the GuardianEdge Data Protection Platform.
