Fortrust Offers Remote Data Backup Services

Powered by Incentra

FORTRUST, Colorado’s data center services provider and colocation facility, will offer Remote Data Backup services to both current customers and companies that are not colocated in the data center. The service will allow companies that have several locations to back up their data to one secure location.

Remote Data Backup, powered by Incentra, LLC, automatically and securely backs up the customer’s file system, raw partition, database and MS Exchange mailbox, and message-level data to an enterprise-class, disk-based data protection system located in FORTRUST’S secure SAS 70 Type II data center. When the customer needs to restore their data, it can be accessed via a dedicated OSS management portal, allowing the data to be restored to any server at any time.

Remote Data Backup and restoration really provides two layers of data protection at once,” said Rob McClary, vice president of FORTRUST. “It provides automated, managed data protection for companies that are resource-constrained, and as part of the process provides remote storage of that data as a default, so that companies don’t have to worry about managing off-site data storage and archiving as well.”

Partnering with Incentra allows FORTRUST to provide comprehensive storage services which takes advantage of Incentra’s world class 24×7 Network Operations Center as well as the company’s in-depth storage engineering expertise,” commented Incentra President and COO Shawn O’Grady. “FORTRUST is an ideal service provider partner and demonstrates our commitment to continually focus on providing customers unparalleled data protection services both in the data center and for customers’ remote data protection needs.”

Because FORTRUST offers a 100 percent restoration guarantee, companies can rest assured that their data is always protected and continuously available. Our customers’ distributed servers, workstations, and PCs can be automatically backed up over existing, secure Internet connections. In addition, when it comes to ensuring that the data is secure, FORTRUST continuously monitors, manages, and maintains advanced data protection systems and processes. Automatic notifications provide the customer with immediate status of service-affecting events, and when a disaster occurs, FORTRUST is available to assist in restoring protected information to rapidly get the customer up and running.
