Backup Storage Server Offering by Gnax/NetDepot

Global Net Access, LLC and NetDepot announced their newest product offering, Private Backup Storage Servers designed for professional and commercial users.

The NetDepot Backup Storage Server solution is based on a dedicated server platform, providing the ultimate in data security. The servers can expand storage capability up to 6 terabytes and have a dedicated 100 mbps connection to the internet. This allows companies with multiple locations to run backups without hampering network capability.

The offering also includes industry leading R1soft Continuous Data protection software free-of-charge. This can be used on not only the dedicated storage server from NetDepot, but also any server that a client wants to backup from. A company in a multi-location environment could reap the benefits of, potentially, millions of dollars in savings due to the free software provided. Customers may also load their own popular industry standard backup software and the servers support most Windows and Linux-based backup software.

The 100 mbps internet connection is unmetered, meaning that a client can safely back up as much and as often as they like without worrying about any usage fees on the server.

GNAX President Jeff Hinkle stated: "We have heard from many clients, especially in the legal and healthcare communities, that they need a solution to back up their servers offsite to comply with corporate initiatives and certain laws. However, most of the affordable solutions did not suit their needs because they offered shared disk resources with other users on large disk farms, not meeting their security requirements. This solution meets those needs, in that the customer is on their own private dedicated backup server that is not shared with other clients, and the data can be encrypted on the disk. Our clients are very excited about it and the initial demand is very strong. It truly fills a void in the market."

Hinkle adds: "There are plenty of solutions aimed at Enterprise Level Storage, but relatively little in the professional and smaller corporate environments. Corporate needs that are filled by the solution include: email and data archiving as well as records retention and disaster planning.
