Exagrid Adds Transaction Line as Distributor

In Latin America

ExaGrid Systems, Inc. announced it is continuing to meet growing global demand by adding Transaction Line, Inc., supplier of business continuity solutions to the Latin American market, as a channel partner. By affiliating with Transaction Line, ExaGrid is poised to deliver disk backup with deduplication solutions to an emergent base of customers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Columbia, among other Latin American countries.

At ExaGrid, we seek out partners who are not only knowledgeable about the IT needs of mid-market businesses, but also those with a sterling reputation,” said Bill Andrews, president and CEO of ExaGrid. “The staff at Transaction Line is filled with technical experts that offer world-class solutions to customers. We are pleased to be partnering with a company committed to providing the leading disk backup with deduplication solution to its customers.”

With the addition of Transaction Line to its partner base, ExaGrid has now recruited more than 150 partners in over a dozen countries around the world.

Transaction Line is thrilled to add the ExaGrid line to our backup offerings,” said Carlos Pino, president and CEO of Transaction Line. “ExaGrid’s products and partner program bring a first-rate disk-based backup solution to our distribution channel. We’ve seen a growing trend toward disk-based backup solutions in the market and are confident ExaGrid’s class-leading products will help serve this budding segment within our customer base.”

The ExaGrid Disk-based Backup System is a turnkey, plug-and-play solution that works with existing backup applications and enables faster and more reliable backups and restores. Customers report that backup time is reduced by 30 to 90 percent over traditional tape backup. ExaGrid’s patented byte-level data deduplication technology and most recent backup compression, coupled with high-quality SATA storage, reduces the amount of disk space needed by a range of 10:1 to as high as 50:1 or more, resulting in a price that’s often less than traditional tape-based backup.
