Language Weaver Chooses Storwize STN-6800 Compression Appliances

Storwize Inc. announced that Language Weaver has chosen the company’s capacity optimization solution to significantly reduce its storage and associated power, cooling and floor space costs. Language Weaver, a leader in automated language translation solutions, needed to control costs fueled by their explosive annual data growth, comprised mostly of ASCII and HTML data stored on NetApp 6030 filers. A high-availability pair of Storwize STN-6800 appliances was selected based upon their unique ability to provide 75% real-time data reduction while supporting the high-performance data access requirements driven by the NetApp 6030 filers which can have as many as 600 client CPU’s writing to the same file system at once.
