Massachusetts Medical Society Names Venyu Preferred Data Protection Provider

The Massachusetts Medical Society andVenyu Solutions, Inc., provider of commercial-grade, customizable solutions for data protection, availability and recovery, jointly announced an agreement making Venyu a preferred data protection provider for members of the Medical Society.

The agreement enables members of the Massachusetts Medical Society to use Venyu for off-site and highly secure backup storage of patient data and practice information as mandated by Federal regulatory guidelines or HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Through its work with its parent company, Dallas-based PHNS, a leading provider of end-to-end healthcare IT services, Venyu is at the frontline of medical data protection, managing and protecting hundreds of terabytes at multiple off-site locations.

The Medical Society selected Venyu based on the company’s proven ability to deliver cost-effective, accessible, off-site data backup and disaster-recovery solutions.
