The new Panasas Research Solutions combine the recently announced Panasas ActiveStor storage platforms with a research-optimized service offering aimed at driving the best price/performance and lowest cost of ownership for university researchers focused on driving new breakthroughs in energy efficiency, life sciences, material sciences, and other disciplines. New ActiveStor features include up to 200 percent faster performance, asynchronous data replication for greater data protection, and data migration capabilities that allow for seamless performance and capacity upgrades without downtime.
