Maurice (Mo) Cook Senior Technical Architect for Systems Alliance

Formerly consultant with Legato and then Sun/STK

Systems Alliance, Inc., a regional systems integrator providing IT and business consulting services, has hired Maurice (Mo) Cook, formerly a consulting systems engineer with Sun Microsystems’ National Communications and Broadcast Storage team, as a senior technical architect. With extensive experience designing and delivering data storage solutions for Fortune 500 corporations and federal agencies, Cook will be instrumental in expanding Systems Alliance’s Storage Solutions consulting practice.

For Systems Alliance clients, data is a strategic asset that must be managed in a secure, efficient and cost-effective manner,” said Ric Hughes, president and CEO, Systems Alliance. “With Mo Cook, we’ve gained a highly experienced open systems storage expert who can help our clients address their most pressing storage and data management challenges – from ensuring availability and compliance to meeting ever-smaller back-up windows.”

Hughes added: “We’re delighted to have Mo join our team and believe he will make important contributions to the growth of our storage practice.

Prior to joining Systems Alliance, Cook was an award-winning technical sales professional with StorageTek/Sun Microsystems for nearly nine years. His experience includes conducting storage assessments, developing storage architectures and delivering complex projects for some of the nation’s leading telecom and media companies as a member of Sun’s National Communications and Broadcast team.

Before Sun, Cook delivered storage management software solutions as a senior professional services consultant with Legato Systems. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 12 years working as a systems administrator and communications technician with AT&T.
