Brown is responsible for developing and implementing Forsythe’s sales strategy for storage solutions such as tiered storage, backup and recovery, virtualization, storage networks, storage advisory strategies and professional services. Brown has more than two decades of experience in the IT industry. He will report to Michael Qualley, Forsythe’s senior vice president, system solutions.

Brown joined Forsythe in 2005 as the Eastern region storage director and contributed to the development of Forsythe’s storage strategy blueprint, which enables companies to align their business requirements with optimal storage solutions. By considering people, processes and technology, this proprietary methodology enables the creation of a multi-year storage roadmap which can provide the information required to properly evaluate current infrastructure against future business objectives.
Brown has an extensive background serving Fortune 500 companies.
He has designed and implemented enterprise storage solutions in software and hardware infrastructures ranging from EMC, Hitachi, and Network Appliance to Cisco, Brocade, Symantec and Tivoli. Brown also has expertise in WAAS, backup and recovery, replication, virtual tape and data deduplication.
Before joining Forsythe, Brown was a solutions architect at Dimension Data, director of storage engineering at Salem Group, business consultant at Piedmont Technology Group, document management and imaging engineer at Strategic Technologies, senior system engineer at Honeywell Bull and software analyst at General Electric. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Potsdam College in New York.
