Multi-Layered Backup Solution by CompuVault
The tiered storage approach enables MSP's to address end user recovery time objectives more efficiently and economically.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 11, 2009 at 3:40 pmCompuVault, Inc., a channel provider of online data backup services, announced a new multi-tiered storage plan for its MSP Partner Channel. Combined with other tools available through the CompuVault solution, MSP’s can now identify data that is less critical to their clients’ disaster recovery process and store it at a more economical price.
“Tiered storage is just one more way we’re helping the Channel better meet their clients’ needs,” said Steven Ferman, CompuVault’s President and CEO. “With this approach, data that’s essential to the client’s recovery can potentially be restored more quickly in the event of disaster. And on the front end, less critical data can be stored at a price that’s significantly less than before.”
CompuVault’s solution will now enable Partners to set policies that automatically allocate client data to the most efficient disk-based storage within CompuVault’s SAS70-certified data center. It offers other benefits as well, including data destruction with digital certificates.
The announcement came in advance of the MSPWorld Orlando event on April 30, 2009, where CompuVault was a Gold Sponsor.
