For its solutions MetaLINCS E-Discovery, EVault Data Protection, and Recovery Services
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 6, 2009 at 3:50 pmi365, Inc., a Seagate company, announced its solutions including MetaLINCS E-Discovery, EVault Data Protection and i365 Recovery Services are Windows 7 ready. MetaLINCS E-Discovery will leverage new state of the art voice and gesture capabilities in Windows 7 to make legal review of electronically stored information (ESI) even less labor intensive and more efficient. i365 is one of the first ISVs to take advantage of Windows 7 features related to voice and multi-touch support, and the first in the E-Discovery market. i365, with EVault disk-to-disk backup and recovery solutions, will add Windows 7 to its wide breadth of support for applications and operating systems. i365 Recovery Services is ready to support data recovery from Windows 7 on any device.
"ESI for civil cases can be massive, sometimes in the terabytes, so distillation and visualization of the information is a major value of electronic discovery tools," said Rich Faris, director, product marketing at i365. "Windows 7 provides a platform to create engaging, user-friendly and powerful applications, and the i365 MetaLINCS E-Discovery Suite will leverage the new voice and touch features and functionality to make reviewing electronic data quicker and easier. Our EVault Data Protection and i365 Recovery Services are ready to support Windows 7."
MetaLINCS E-Discovery Integration:
The MetaLINCS E-Discovery Suite on Windows 7 will enable users to have touch and voice control of the MetaLINCS’ ‘social network’ interface, which graphically describes who talked to whom, when, on a particular topic. Powerful drill downs into detailed discussions and navigation of email threads will be equally simple and efficient. i365 will use Microsoft Silverlight 3.0 to ensure a consistent, easy to use interface for rich clients and for customers using it with a browser in a cloud or hosted environment.
"Today’s businesses increasingly require ease and speed of access to information — to drive all aspects of the business, including content development, decision-making and sales. The cutting edge solutions from i365, which integrate with Windows 7 enhancements makes it even easier for our customers to access information, automate processes and communicate within and across organizations," said Michael Del Sarto, Group Manager for Windows at Microsoft Corp.
