In hiring seasoned storage veteran Marin Debelic as Country Sales Manager to lead the Italian team, Pillar Data Systems continues to grow across the European market.
In the short time it has been doing business in Italy, Pillar has already added several new customers, including a major supermarket chain and Cedacri, a leading IT services provider to banking and financial institutions, to its expanding list of customers worldwide.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to join the Pillar team at this exciting time in the company’s history. Not in recent memory has there been more opportunity for a company that delivers more efficiency, value for money and world class customer service,” said Debelic. “There’s a real gap today in the Italian storage market for a vendor with truly differentiated technology and a business philosophy that embraces the channel. We fully expect Italy to be a great success for us, our partners and customers.”
In addition to partnering with key resellers, Pillar’s appointment of Marin Debelic as its new Italian Country Sales Manager will ensure its continued global success. Debelic brings with him an educational background in engineering and a strong network in Italy, where he successfully established and grew a solid customer base for NetApp. Debelic also held a key global position with Dell in Milan. In addition to his longstanding sales experience, Pillar will leverage his expertise in developing new markets in Southern Europe and the Balkans.
“With our innovative approach to Application-Aware storage and breakthroughs in efficiency, we can tangibly demonstrate our value to potential customers, resulting in continued growth around the globe,” said Bob Maness, vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Channel Sales. “With talented people such as Marin Debelic on our team and our strategic alliances with key channel partners, we are confident that we will continue the level of success in Southern Europe as we’ve achieved in the U.S., and the rest of the world.”
