John Zamites Channel Manager at WhipTail

WhipTail Technologies, Inc., provider of solid state storage appliances founded in December 2008, announced that John Zamites has been appointed channel manager. As such, he is responsible for building the company’s sales channel to ensure that the company’s products, beginning with the WhipTail product, are readily available to mid- to large-sized enterprise customers nationwide.

Zamites brings more than 20 years of storage industry experience to the position, beginning with desktop disk drives in the UNIX environment. Over the past 10 years, Zamites has been focused on emerging storage technologies – working for startup ventures at companies such as LeftHand Networks, RELDATA and Xiotech, which were on the cutting edge of IP-SAN, iSCSI and virtualization technologies. In these positions, he was responsible for establishing channel programs regionally and nationally, as well as penetrating the Fortune 1000 in the metro NYC market.
