Revenue of Transcend Reaches US$72.5 Million in March
Flash memory products contributed to 57.5%.

As for the company’s monthly product shipment breakdown, flash memory products contributed to 57.5% of sales, while DRAM modules accounted for 26.4%. New product lines including digital music players, portable hard drives and digital photo frames amounted to 16.1% of the company’s total sales revenue.
In addition, Transcend’s combined product shipment reached a total of 7.2 million pieces in March. The major contributors to this total were flash-based products, of which 3.81 million flash cards and 1.82 millions flash drives were sold, amounting to YoY growth of 28.5% and 4.59%, respectively.
Shipments of DRAM-based products totaled 1.25 million pieces, and new product lines reached 312,000 pieces, with a YoY growth of 82.6%. In terms of average memory capacity of devices sold in March, Transcend’s average flash memory card capacity was 2.7GB, while its average flash drive was 3.79GB, and the average capacity of DRAM modules sold was 1.58GB.
Thanks to steady chip prices and increased product demand, the company’s monthly DRAM module sales increased by 42.1%. In addition, the recent increase in demand for digital photo frames helped Transcend’s photo frame shipment achieve a record-high 24,000 pieces in March. Furthermore, sales of other strategic products, including card readers, digital music players, solid state drives and portable hard drives remained stable throughout the month of March.
