FalconStor Expands in Europe
New appointments and expansion of its WW solution centre in France
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 24, 2009 at 3:47 pmFalconStor Software, Inc. announced the growth of its European operations in 2009, with executive promotions and appointments in new countries, along with the expansion of its Worldwide Solution Centre in Toulouse, France, providing businesses the ability to virtually test drive all FalconStor solutions prior to physical deployment.
“In the face of today’s economy, FalconStor is committed to reducing capital expenditure and maximizing return on operating expenses that are high on the agenda for companies throughout Europe,” said Guillaume Imberti, vice president and general manager, FalconStor EMEA. “We will continue expanding our sales and post-sales operations, while providing full-featured test centers to improve the level of service for our existing customers and ensure we can sustain business momentum. FalconStor expects to continue to provide more services and solutions to fit the needs of our ever-increasing customer base.”
FalconStor EMEA has added eight new countries over the last 18 months and has been organized into three sub-regions with new appointments.
Thomas Barrett is vice president for Northern European Sales & Operations, Guy Berlo is vice president for Central Europe, and Vincent Pajot is vice president for Southern Europe. In addition, Phillipe Bruiant has been appointed to the role of director, EMEA channel sales operations, with Jerome Lacheteau as vice president, technical support and services, along with Alexandre Delcayre, as vice president of the FalconStor Solution Centre in Toulouse.
Targeting potential customers in small and medium businesses as well as integrators and channel partners, FalconStor has expanded its Worldwide Solution Centre to support and to demonstrate FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP), FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS), FalconStor File-interface Deduplication System (FDS), and FalconStor Virtual Tape Library (VTL) software products. At this site, businesses can gain first-hand knowledge of how to solve the challenges around data protection with regard to traditional backup methodologies, and how continuous data protection can change the rules of backup and recovery in the way it works for organizations.
The centre now comprises a fully-functional test environment for experimentation, development, deployment and demonstration and is equipped with all the hardware and accessories needed to replicate both typical and atypical as well as physical and virtual network storage configurations. Unlike other data protection solution providers, FalconStor Software’s unique Solution Centre acts as a fully functional production datacenter to showcase end-to-end data protection and deduplication solutions under any condition or proof of concept (POC) configurations to customer specifications.
“We think that, increasingly, customers are going to need to demand that they be able to test the deployment of their data protection solution before they commit to the deployment physically,” said Alexandre Delcayre, vice president of FalconStor Software’s Worldwide Solution Centre in Toulouse. “FalconStor is in a unique position to be able to offer that to its customers, underlining the company’s leadership in comprehensive enterprise-class storage solutions that provide complete data protection from the remote office to the data center.”
