Integrated Media Technologies to Resell Atempo
Across the media and entertainment industries
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 20, 2009 at 3:45 pmAtempo, Inc. announced a partnership with Integrated Media Technologies, Inc. (IMT), a systems integrator for film, television, and information technology, to deliver Atempo Digital Archive (ADA) and Atempo Time Navigator to data-intensive environments across the media and entertainment industries. The partnership strengthens Atempo’s commitment to serving these creative markets and gives IMT customers the benefit of Atempo’s backup, recovery and file archival software solutions designed to simplify the data management process and integrate into their unique project workflows.
Based in North Hollywood, Calif., IMT specializes in integrating creative applications with enterprise computing, storage and software solutions for organizations across the entire media and entertainment industry. IMT serves a broad range of multinational and vertically-integrated organizations including major film studios, television networks, special effects and post-production facilities, and others. Both Atempo Digital Archive and Atempo Time Navigator are optimized for these types of cross-platform, data-intensive environments where the protection of digital assets is a business imperative.
"Given the high value of work in progress and reusability of creative digital assets, it is important for customers to have flexibility with storage and archive management technologies," said Bruce Lyon, CEO at IMT. "Moreover, our customers constantly face an exponential growth of high-value data, and have increasingly been demanding Atempo solutions to help manage these complex storage environments. Through this new partnership, we are excited to offer Atempo Digital Archive and Atempo Time Navigator. Each product plays a vital role in protecting and preserving the digital assets so valuable to our customers."
For customers in media and entertainment, Atempo Digital Archive goes beyond preservation and hierarchal storage management (HSM), to play a particularly active role in the day-to-day workflow. Today, more organizations require creative data to be retained at different stages in its lifecycle. Raw data, edited files and final projects need to be stored, as any version may need to be leveraged for future projects. ADA’s critical integration with Final Cut Server and transparency to end-users allows those individuals to easily archive at various steps in the content creation process and pull information into and out of the archives as needed. This integration enables users to transfer fixed-content media assets stored in Final Cut Server into a wide number of long-term storage devices by simply using the native Final Cut Server interface.
At the same time, Atempo Time Navigator ensures that this valuable data is backed up and fully protected. In the event of lost or damaged files, the powerful software allows users to easily recover their project data through the simple Time Navigation restore interface. Both products are fully compatible with Mac, Windows and UNIX environments, and support the widest range of storage media in the industry.
"Our partnership with IMT further demonstrates Atempo’s commitment to serving the media and entertainment industries with solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of those organizations," said Bob Hickey, VP of North America & APAC Sales at Atempo. "Media and entertainment companies represent some of the world’s most data-intensive environments, and through our clear understanding of the industry’s unique data management needs and evolving workflows, Atempo is well-positioned to further our momentum and growth in this space."
Atempo will provide product demonstrations at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 20-23.
