NetApp to Pay the United States $128 Million

To settle investigation into federal contracting

NetApp will pay the federal government $128 million to settle a Department of Justice investigation into its contracting activity with the General Services Administration (GSA). Specifically, the investigation focused on compliance with price reduction clauses in some GSA contracts between 1997-2005. NetApp, which must pay the money by April 27, neither admitted nor denied any wrongdoing, and said that it decided to settle "to avoid continued litigation and associated risks."
