Nirvanix and Ocarina Join Forces

Nirvanix, an enterprise Cloud Storage service provider, announced that its CloudNAS enterprise-class storage software has been certified as “Ocarina Optimized.” This designation indicates that Ocarina Networks has conducted extensive testing and integration efforts to ensure its solution is optimized for the Nirvanix platform.

 
Ultimately, the certification means that Ocarina and Nirvanix can immediately offer capacity-optimized storage products that deliver additional cost savings and improved throughput to customers looking to leverage content-aware compression and object deduplication as part of an overall Cloud Storage solution.

CloudNAS is a software-only NAS solution offering enhanced secure data transfers to any of Nirvanix’s globally distributed storage nodes via CIFS or NFS. The application enables organizations to integrate Cloud Storage into their existing storage processes offering globally accessible, scalable storage within minutes.
