MyMedicalRecords Joins With LegalZoom
To create MyEsafeDepositBox for copies of vital documents
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 13, 2009 at 3:43 pmMMR Information Systems, Inc., which through its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, MyMedicalRecords, Inc., provides consumer-controlled Personal Health Records and electronic safe deposit box storage solutions, has entered into an agreement with LegalZoom, the nation’s online legal document and filing service, to offer a MyEsafeDepositBox where copies of a person’s vital documents can be deposited in a virtual vault in addition to having the original document mailed to the customer.
The program will launch over the next 90 days with a special offer involving Living Will products. LegalZoom clients who purchase a Living Will can choose to have a copy of the document automatically deposited into a MyEsafeDepositBox account at no additional charge during a 90-day trial period.
"This program ties in perfectly with Legal Zoom’s objective of providing high-value, affordable legal document services," said Robert H. Lorsch, Chairman and CEO of MMR Information Systems, Inc. "Now the client has the option to both receive his or her original documents and also store and maintain a copy in a secure online account that they can access anytime from anywhere in the world using MMR’s secure document storage systems."
The MyEsafeDepositBox service, powered by the same technology behind MMR’s MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record, provides a secure online virtual vault where users can store copies of all their important documents, such as insurance policies, legal papers and financial records along with vital documents such as advance directives, living wills and powers of attorney. Paper-based records can be faxed into the user’s account through a personal telephone number that is assigned to the user at the time of enrollment. Scanned documents, or images such as pictures of family or personal property, can be uploaded into the MyEsafeDepositBox account from the user’s computer desktop.
