LaserCard Delivers $2.8 Million of Card Personalization Equipment and Supplies

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 9, 2009 at 3:55 pmLaserCard Corporation has delivered a $750,000 shipment of personalization systems and consumables for the Angola National Citizen ID Card program completing the initial $2.8 million order. The purchase order which was announced in October 2008 was received from the Angolan government’s prime contractor, DGM-Sistemas of Luanda.
“We are pleased to have completed this important milestone on this program,” said Bob DeVincenzi, President and CEO of LaserCard Corporation. “We look forward to implementation of card issuance in cooperation with DGM-Sistemas, our other team partners and government authorities.”
Deliveries on the separate $8.8 million purchase order for secure custom optical memory cards will commence after approval of the card design. Card deliveries should begin at a low rate in the June quarter and accelerate throughout the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010.
