Instant InfoSystems Released Email Archiving Scorecard V2.0

Instant InfoSystems (IIS), provider of Enterprise Message Management solutions including Email Archiving and Enterprise Fax Management, announced the release of the IIS Email Archiving Scorecard version 2.0. The IIS Email Archiving Scorecard is an in-depth technical evaluation of leading email archiving products designed to help enterprises identify the solution that best meets their specific requirements. It is an objective analysis of 250 features and metrics performed in a fully rendered production environment. The company has also developed the IIS Interactive Scorecard, a tool which allows companies to score features and functionality important to their organization, and identify the right product for their specific requirements.

The IIS Email Archiving Scorecard reveals how the email archiving solutions perform in six major functional categories including systems archived, archiving process, architecture, e-discovery, compliance and user interface. Solutions evaluated include Enterprise Archive Solution 6.1.1.2 from Autonomy ZANTAZ, NearPoint v3.1.4 from Mimosa Systems, Professional Archive Manager v 3.6 (formerly H&S exchange@PAM) from Metalogix, Enterprise Vault 2007 SP1 from Symantec and Unified Archive v6.0.68 from ZL Technologies.

Seven key performance metrics were identified and measured to help companies evaluate the rate at which the products can archive, search and index in a production environment. Accuracy of the results was also measured. Each organization has different business and IT drivers such as e-discovery, mailbox management, compliance and litigation support. These key performance metrics play a very significant role in determining the right email archiving solution for each enterprise.
