Promotion by Tandberg in EMEA

Tandberg Data announced a new promotion for its EMEA customers for the second Quarter of 2009. Customers, who purchase a Tandberg Data LTO-3 or LTO-4 tape automation solution with media, will receive 50% of the media free of charge.

Customers who purchase a Tandberg Data StorageLoader LTO will receive five pieces of media free of charge when they purchase five pieces of media with their StorageLoader LTO-3 or LTO-4. If customers purchase a Tandberg StorageLibrary T24 or T40+ series with media, Tandberg Data will match their media purchase and give up to 30 pieces of media free of charge.

Promotions will run from April 1st, 2009 until June 30th, 2009.

Tandberg StorageLoader and StorageLibrary

• The Tandberg StorageLoader LTO is the ideal entry-level automated backup solution. It is a 1U autoloader that offers users a compressed storage capacity of up to 12.8TB, with transfer rates of up to 864GB/hr. Removable magazines offer easy bulk loading and off site storage for disaster recovery.
• The Tandberg StorageLibrary T24 is ideal for use in multi-server environments. It supports up to two half-height drives or one full-height drive. It easily scales from a 12-slot autoloader to a 24-slot library by simply adding a second magazine, offering compressed capacities up to 38.4TB and transfer rates of up to 1.7TB/hr
• The Tandberg StorageLibrary T40+ and T80+ are suited to fit in most midrange and enterprise storage environments. They offer compressed capacities up to 123.2TB and performance up to 6.9TB/hr (compressed). The Capacity on Demand (COD) feature allows users to easily increase usable capacity as their backup requirements grow. The Performance on Demand (POD) feature allows users to add up to 4 full height or 8 LTO Half Height drives.

The manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) of the StorageLoader LTO-3, including all the necessary accessories, including a barcode reader and Symantec Backup Exec QS is $4000 / €2800. The MSRP of the StorageLibrary T24 starts at $4500 / €3500 and the MSRP of the StorageLibrary T40+ starts at $5700 / €3950.
