To unlimited online storage offering
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 3, 2009 at 4:09 pmLivedrive has added support for FTP to its popular online storage service. FTP is the industry standard way of transferring files. Allowing customers to upload, download and access their files via FTP means users can access their files from virtually any platform from anywhere.
Andrew Michael, CEO, commented: "Many online storage/backup providers only provide customers a web-portal and client software to access their files. At Livedrive, we continually strive to incorporate features that allow customers to access their online storage in any way, from any device and on any platform. For customers to adopt online storage over existing local storage, providers need to provide more options for accessing the online storage so customers don’t have to change the way they work."
Livedrive has over 500,000 customers worldwide. Andrew Michael, CEO and founder, previously owned Fasthosts Internet Limited, which became the UK’s leading web-hosting company and was sold to United Internet in 2006 for $120m.
Livedrive offers unlimited storage for $129.95 a year and also has a started account which is limited to 100GB for $55.95 a year.
